Peak to Peak Counseling’s Clinical Director, Amy Skinner, has worked in the human services field for over 25 years developing and implementing psycho-education curriculums for non-profits and businesses. Richard Brandon has worked in the hospitality industry for over thirty years coordinating and supporting a wide variety of events and organizations. Their combined experience means that not only will the content of your development program be informative and meaningful, but the event’s presentation will be spot-on. To create an environment primed for systemic growth, Peak to Peak Counseling utilizes a variety of theories and techniques.
Peak to Peak Counseling has extensive experience assisting businesses and organizations in streamlining communication between departments and across culturally diverse groups, implementing cross-cultural educational programs, assisting in staff development on a personal and corporate level, and helping during times of difficult transitions.
Amy Skinner has worked internationally, but Peak to Peak Counseling’s primary focus has been providing business support and training up and down the Front Range, throughout Colorado and neighboring states.
Crisis intervention, stressful situations, and supporting individuals who have just experienced the worst day of their lives are all parts of my job as a law enforcement crime victim advocate. Peak to Peak Counseling has been an invaluable support to my team of advocates over the years. They have crafted trainings specific to our needs and areas of interest, always ensuring we leave with a broader understanding of the challenges our clients face. They give us the knowledge to enhance our skill sets so we can provide the best support possible to crime victims. Amy’s authentic and compassionate approach and Richard’s steadfast commitment to ensuring processes go smoothly pairs perfectly. The Peak to Peak Counseling team has knowledge, experience, dedication, and shine.

The Peak to Peak Housing and Human Services Alliance has worked closely with Peak to Peak Counseling since our inception several years ago. We have benefited and been extremely appreciative of their well-trained, well-prepared Interns who are available to provide low-cost counseling. Peak to Peak Counseling has also provided valuable trainings for our members on a variety of subjects, helping us to better interact with the members of our community that access human services. Also, their leadership of the Mountain Health Collaborative and its involvement with our community during various disasters has significantly helped to reduce the stress experienced by everyone impacted. They are a strong, valuable partner within our community.

The Nederland Food Pantry has benefited from using the staff and interns at Peak to Peak Counseling to provide group trainings for our staff and volunteers. The P2P staff and interns have been enjoyable to coordinate with. They took the time to make sure they had a clear understanding of our needs. Peak to Peak Counseling’s therapists and interns provided trainings on mental health awareness, active listening skills, and on the use and appreciation of gender pronouns. The trainings enable Pantry staff and volunteers to better serve pantry participants, giving all more confidence in their ability to treat clients with respect and compassion.
